With all of the hype this week about the New Moon DVD Pre-Order, I decided to theme this Book Covers Around The World: New Moon-style!

The “star-crossed” lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy’s reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate, riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga is well on its way to literary immortality.

United States

Austria (Translation: Bite at Noontime)

Czech
Pretty good representation of 'Jacob-wolf'

Finland

French (Translation: Temptation)

German (Translation: Bite to Noontime)

Greek

Hungarian

Indonesia (Translation: ‘Two Love’)
Beautiful cover!

Italian

Israel
I think the 'eye' thing can be creepy, but looking into it I really see the anguish and heartache of Bella when Edward leaves her.

Japanese

(Translation: The Fang Whispers Sweetly)      Japanese (Translation: Month of the Wolf)

(Translation: The Angel of Sighing)
I think this cover really represents Edward when he leaves Bella.

Korea
Interesting, but creepy..

Lithuanian

Netherlands

Polish

Portuguese

Romania (Translation: Nine Months)

Russia (Translation: The New Moon)
I'm not liking either of these covers. The first one, I am just confused by the whole blue flower thing. And the second one I'm not liking either of the 'actors' represented, unless they are using Victoria and James as models...

Spanish

Sweden (Translation: When I hear your voice)

Thailand (Translation: ‘Young Moon’)
This is a very sweet cover that is a more literal concept of New Moon with the moon surrounding Edward and Bella. Does anyone else think that Edward looks a bit like Robert Pattinson? Hmm..

United Kingdom
I don’t know what it is with the UK and Twilight Saga book covers. For ‘Twilight’ the super creepy wax-figure Bella made the book seem more like a horror novel versus a love story YA novel.

Which are your favorite and least favorite covers and why?

Which ones do you feel represent the story the best and worst and why?

Favorite: I really like the Indonesian one.
Least Favorite: The Russian ones.

I think that the UK one looks like Coraline.   LOLsign
