There will be MANY spoilers in this. As it is now my favorite book and I can not shut my mouth about it.

Wow. Hi my name is Shae and I am addicted. I just finished this book Wednesday, and turned right back to page one and read it again. Is it May yet? I am going to die of anticipation, waiting on the next in the series Insurgent. If you talk to me in a month I will still be talking about this story.
Let’s start with the number one reason I love this book. There is no love triangle. There is a little drama in the love department, but no love triangle. I can not clarify enough how good it was to read a book, where the main plot was not all about a girl stuck between two guys. Having to chose who she loves, while there are more important things going on in the world. There is Tris and she is making decisions for herself, and just happens to find a guy along the way.
The book was not perfect. I read a ton of books, I am an opinionated person, and I am hard to please. One thing I did not like about the book was, it could get a little confusing. Tris’s thoughts are a little confusing sometimes. Tris herself is very confused at times.
I love this dystopian world. I read a lot of books in the dystopian category, so I feel I have room to compare. I would have been a little happier if more history was included. You just know that this society was built after a war in order to form peace. Hopefully there is more history in the next novel. It kinda feels like there are holes, and if you knew more it would be easier to know what was going on.
I figured out who Four was very early in the story, but that didn’t change a thing. I was caught way off guard when Tris sees her mom at Visiting day. Right away I picked up what was going on, and I was very shocked. I feel that her mom had way more to tell her, and I am wondering if we will ever find out more. There are so many exciting surprises and twists. If the next book is as eventful and well written as this one, it is going to be one hell of a series.
All in all, I love Divergent. I highly recommend this book. If you are a fan of The Hunger Games, you will love this book. If you are looking for a book where the main plot is not about a love triangle, you need to read this book. If you are looking for page to page drama, excitement, action, and more... well this is the book for you!
