Chapter 13-15

Summary:
While Carlisle and Rosalie are looking for the best way for Bella to drink the blood, Jacob tells her that Leah has also joined his now formed new pack. Jacob is surprised that Bella fears more Leah than Rosalie, who he clearly thinks that she’ll take Bella’s baby the first chance she gets. Carlisle gives Bella a plastic cup from were to try drink. When Bella makes a face, after smelling the blood, everyone worries. Edward tries to find another way, but Bella tells him that she’s not disgusted; in fact it actually smells good and drinks. Jacob saw that drinking the human blood brought back some of the old Bella, with her blushed cheeks and a stronger heartbeat.
Out of nowhere, Jacob hears Seth’s howl and runs out of the house into the forest. When he reaches Leah and Seth, Jared appears in human form followed by Paul, Quil and Collin as werewolves, telling them how they want for Jacob and the others to come home.
When Jacob returns to check on Bella, he finds a stack of clothes for him and the other to wear. He’s surprised how much better Bella looks after drinking all that blood. Edward also tells him how Esme is worried about them being homeless and lets Jacob know that they are welcomed to food or anything else whenever they wanted.
Now that Bella is stronger so is the baby and it starts hurting her. Carlisle takes some x-rays and Jacob wonders why Alice is no longer by Bella’s side like she used to be, to which she tells him that the fetus gives her headaches. After taking a long nap, Jacob found Seth with the Cullens, having breakfast and with an arm around Bella.
Jacob asks Bella if she knows when the little monster will be born, but since the pregnancy is not normal they are unsure. Edward tells Jacob about the myths they’ve heard where the baby uses its teeth to escape from the womb and all of the research they’ve been doing.
Favorite Scene: There’s a moment when the baby breaks some of Bella’s ribs and while everyone is with her, Alice avoids her. I like this scene because it’s one of the rare moments where Alice talks to Jacob and they kind of bond. We also get to know more about the baby.
It was a funny moment when Jacob walks in the Cullen house and he finds Seth in a sort of family portrait with the Cullens and Bella. Seth doesn’t feel awkward at all.
