Brought to you by OBS Staff member Chris.

Don't forget to check our Book Club of the month Evermore The Immortals by Alyson Noel.

Ever Bloom

Ever is 16 years old when the story begins. She is the typical beautiful beach girl; she is tall, lean, and blonde with deep blue eyes. Except for the fact that she doesn’t flaunt her beauty, she strives to cover every inch of herself up with clothes, and make herself less appealing to any male companions. All that is because our main character is psychic and can read people’s aura.

Ever was involved in a car crash that killed her little sister Riley, both her parents and her golden retriever Buttercup. She lived only because she was so caught up in the beauty of the ‘in-between’ that she didn’t cross the ‘bridge’ – that and Damen fed her the elixir of life, that keeps her Immortal. Damen is her soul mate through the ages, he is an Immortal that seeks her out in each one of her different lives, but his ex Drina kills her before he turns her Immortal. But this present time, he succeeded and now she lives.

Ever is the typical teenager, besides the fact that she can see people’s future and past just by one single touch. She has two good friends that are considered outsiders like her, Miles and Haven. After the accident, she moved in with her Aunt Sabine out in Orange County, California. She has everything she could want, a beautiful home complete with all teenagers dreams…but she is lonely, feels guilty for causing her the car crash and is burdened with her gifts. But when Damen walks into her life, all of that changes…

Damen Auguste

Damen is an Immortal. He is hundreds of years old, and has a complex about his age. He is Ever Bloom’s soul mate, and a very handsome man. He is tall with olive toned skin, dark hair and infinite dark eyes. Ever is immediately intrigued by his style, black clothing with black motorcycle boots but with kind, fun eyes. She also notices that when he looks at her, the world goes quiet, she can’t hear people’s thoughts or see aura’s. All this is because he is immortal and can shield out the noise for her. Damen comes off as fun, playful, and even cocky.

Damen grew up in Italy with his parents; his dad was an expert in alchemy and was perfecting the elixir of life. On his birthday, Damen witnessed his parent’s brutal murder, all for the immortal drink. He became a ward of the church and while he was there, he decided to finish the elixir and make himself Immortal. He was good friends with several of the other orphans at the church, one in particular Drina. When a flu epidemic swept through Italy, he chose to save his friends from death. Not knowing at the time that all these people would one day turn against him…

Throughout the years, he and Drina lived the good life. They were greedy, self-centered and did not care about using their immortality for the good of humanity. Living lavishly up until a French servant caught his eye and made him realize the man he wanted to be, and that he had found his soul mate. Damen spent half of his immortal life, searching Ever’s live(s) down and falling in love but only having it ripped away by tragic death. But by present time, he has finally succeeded and Ever is Immortal, so they can finally be happy. Maybe….
