Dollhouse is a television series created by Joss Whedon and starring Eliza Dushku. The show is centered around a secret organization that controls "dolls" or "Actives" and programs them to do any kind of required work, after which they get their memories are erased.

The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television, Dushku's Boston Diva Productions and Mutant Enemy, Whedon's production company. The first episode, "Ghost", aired on February 13 2009 on the Fox network.

Episode 1: Ghost

The first episode introduces us to the facility known as Dollhouse. Run by Adelle DeWitt it is home to the Actives (Dolls) and the place where they get programmed with new personalities and mind-wiped. The actives are hired by the wealthy and powerful, transformed physically and psychologically to fit the client’s needs and wants.

Caroline meets with Adelle to discuss the problems she is running away from. Adelle offers her a five-year contract at the Dollhouse. Wiped of her memories and personality she takes on the new name of Echo. After her first assignment she meets her handler, Boyd Langton, and heads back to the Dollhouse to receive a wipe from Topher Brink, the programmer. Meanwhile Paul Ballard is assigned to uncover information on the Dollhouse, a case which has destroyed his marriage and his reputation.

Episode 2: The Target
Echo is imprinted to become the counterpart to an avid outdoorsman, Richard Connell, quickly learning how the hunter becomes the hunted during her wilderness adventure. Agent Ballard receives a clue to Echo’s real identity, encouraging him to continue his investigation. Flashbacks reveal Alpha's “composite event” at the Dollhouse, in which Echo and Dr. Saunders are the only survivors and leads to Boyd's arrival at the Dollhouse.

Episode 3: Stage Fight
Echo provides protection to Rayna Russell, a pop star, from an obsessive fan by becoming her backup singer. Sierra gets imprinted as Rayna's number one fan to capture the fans attention. Ballard's investigation, meanwhile, takes a wrong turn when Lubov sends him into a trap which Paul barely survives. Lubov himself turns out to be an active of the Dollhouse, Victor.

Episode 4: Gray Hour
Echo becomes an expert safe-cracker, Taffy, hired to heist a piece of the Parthenon. During the engagement Echo is wiped remotely and locked into the vault. Adelle has Sierra imprinted as Taffy to help Echo, but Echo escapes on her own. Meanwhile, Agent Ballard gives Lubov an ultimatum, and Adelle ups the security clearance of Topher, who guesses that Alpha was responsible for Echo’s remote wipe.

Episode 5: True Believer
Echo is imprinted with the persona of someone with blind faith, who is also actually blind and an unknowing spy for the government, to infiltrate a dangerous cult led by ex-criminal Jonas Sparrow. Meanwhile Dr. Saunders and Topher investigate an unusual development between Victor and Sierra.

Episode 6: Man on the Street
Echo becomes the perfect wife for a lonely internet mogul while Sierra’s attacker is revealed as her handler. Meanwhile a TV reporter prepares to expose the Dollhouse and Mellie’s life is in danger. Agent Ballard’s investigation takes a surprising turn when he comes face-to-face and fist-to-fist with Echo for the very first time.

Episode 7: Echoes
A deadly virus outbreak on a college campus sends Echo back to school where pieces of her past come into focus. During the episode both Victor and Sierra are exposed to N-7316, a drug that bypasses the blocks on actives memories. Victor experiences a flashback where he is a soldier trying to save a young woman in a war zone. Sierra, on the other hand, remembers her rape and the events leading to her becoming an active.

Episode 8: Needs
After an experiment by Dr. Saunders leaves Echo, Sierra, November and Victor with their original personalities. After helping the others escape, Echo returns and contacts Ballard for help. Sierra encounters Nolan, the man responsible for her presence as an active and it’s revealed that November had a daughter, Katie, but she is now dead.

Episode 9: Spy in the House of Love
When a traitor is discovered inside the Dollhouse, Echo and Sierra are programmed as spy hunters to uncover the culprit. Echo uncovers that Dominic is the NSA spy and Adelle has his memories imprinted into Victor, who mentions Whiskey. Meanwhile, Ballard receives more information about the Dollhouse from the mole via November and Victor is commissioned by Miss Lonelyhearts, who turns out to be Adelle.

Episode 10: Hunted
When Margaret Bashford is killed, Echo is imprinted with Margaret’s latest memories in order to attend her funeral and solve her own death. At the funeral she finds out what her family really thinks about her and that her husband is displeased with his cut of her will. Victor is imprinted as a horse-buyer to investigate Margaret’s husband. Meanwhile, Topher imprints Sierra with his personality for some fun on his birthday.

Episode 11: Briar Rose
Ballard breaks up with Millie and follows her and her handler back to the Dollhouse. He tracks down the architect for the Dollhouse, Stephen Kepler, and with his help infiltrates it. Kepler turns out to be Alpha and betrays Ballard, imprinting his girlfriend’s personality in Echo and escaping together. Meanwhile, Adelle goes to the Attic in search of answers, while Alpha reveals himself to set his end game in motion.

Episode 12: Omega
Alpha and Echo have kidnapped and imprinted Wendy with Caroline’s personality and forces Echo into a composite event, but fails and Echo fights him off. Meanwhile, Ballard and Boyd team up to take Alpha down. Although they fail, they rescue Echo and return her to the Dollhouse. Afterwards, Ballard makes a deal that releases November forever.
