This week Caro and I are featuring art to go along with are book club, The Lovely Bones. But first we would like to thank all of the artists who make Fan Art Madness possible. We have been getting some really positive feedback from past featured artists. You Guys Rock! :)
Remember to also visit The Lovely Bones Book Club and join us in the discussion! My Lovely Bones by ~blood-classique I thought this was a really good portray of Susie, the author of the piece mentioned that she looked old for her age, but I think it looks quite good. It also reflects her feelings and reactions in that moment when she takes the body of her friend. I love the color of her hair and eyes, makes it look so bright. (Caro) The Lovely Bones by ~Teaessare One of my favorite scenes in the book. I really like Ruths expression and body position. But I'm to sure about how Susie looks. Her face is very blank and expressionless. (Katie)Puppet by ~Naoko-the-miko I like the effects that the shadows give to the drawing, they direct the attention to Abigail. It makes everything around her take another course and just focus on her. Nice drawing. I like how the readers always portray their visions of scenes when they really like a book. It shows how big you're imagination can be (Caro)The Lovely Bones by ~ShAdOw--oF--NyX They did a very good job at portraying the scene from the book. I love how they payed attention to detail. Also the color job is pretty great considering it looks like it was colored with crayons (crayons are my best friend, haha) For some reason I'm very drawn to the top half of Susie. Just the combintation of her face/expression, hat, and jacket that catches my eye. (Katie) What did you think of today’s Fan Art Madness?
Which piece was your favorite?
