OBS staff member Tori has brought us our weekly R&R of ‘Medium’
Allison and Joe are sleeping as she is dreams that they are awakened by a baby crying. When they go to the girls rooms they discover they have reverted to being babies!! Then Joe turns into a baby!! They go back to bed and she says to Joe," Shall we have another baby?"
Allison is on her way to work with Lee when they get a call for a Code 2 in Fountain Hills. They arrive to discover that a baby boy named Brice has been taken probably by their housekeeper, Elizabeth Torres. Allison hears a baby crying and asks if she can go upstairs to the nursery. She sees the empty crib and the mother in a chair acting strangely. Allison and Lee go to the Torres home and burst in with SWAT. No baby and no Elizabeth. Allison sees a picture of Elizabeth and Brice and takes it. Alli is so upset that she has to go home.
Joe tells Allison that he has to get Bridget a new reed for her clarinet. When they arrive at the store, little Marie begins to play the clarinet like a virtuoso. (Note on the actress that plays Bridge, Maria Lark. She was born in Russia and adopted by a single American Mom. What a charmer she is.)
While she is at home Allison continues to hear the baby crying. Brice's picture is leading her somewhere. She gets in the car and drives to a small stucco house. The door is open and she still hears the crying, (irritating at this point), baby. She sees the mandatory velvet painting of the Blessed Virgin on the wall and follows the crying to the kitchen and opens the oven and voila there is Brice alive and well.
Meanwhile back at hacienda Dubois, Marie wakes up and tells Bridget she is very tired of dreaming and hearing the man play the same song over and over.
The body of Elizabeth is found, dead from blows to the head. Allison continues to hear the baby cry and wakes in the night. Joe and Alli go to Brice's home and Allison insists on seeing the baby. Everything is seemingly fine except Allison sees Brice's dead sister who says she wishes Allison hadn't brought him back.
The next evening Allison hears the baby crying again and goes to the home and insists on seeing Brice, when his mother refuses Alli maces her and kidnaps Brice. Fade to Allison and Brice in a motel and she is on the phone with Joe. He is insisting that she turn herself in. She and the baby go to sleep and dreams about Elizabeth Torres arguing with her cousin about the baby. He has planned to kidnap Brice, collect the ransom and then sell him to another party. Elizabeth says she can't let that happen and she takes the baby to someone else for safekeeping. Allison sees the cousin is furious. She sees him kill her. Allison awakens to the police telling her she is under arrest.
Allison is in a holding room when the mother comes in and says she is not pressing charges against Allison. She says her "memory" is vague about the macing. She say Devallos has told her that the cousin still had the codes for the security system and intended that night to take baby Brice again!
The show ends with Bridget leaving school when she sees a man playing a piano. She recognizes the tune he is playing as the one Marie had played and kept hearing over and over. She asks him about it and he says it is a song his father had written but didn't finish before he passed and he just can't seem to finish it.
She tells him to hold on a minute she thinks she knows someone who can help him.
Great episode. They are always better when the kids are in the show. So, are Joe and Allison going to have another baby? Where they will put him/her who knows...What happened to Joe's new job this episode?
