Robert Pattinson wax figure announced by Madame Tussauds in London

Ask and ye shall receive . . . at least that appears to be the sentiment when it comes to seeing The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Remember Me star Robert Pattinson in a wax figure sort of state.

Madame Tussauds, a famed international celebrity wax museum chain, has announced that their London venue will play host to a brand new sculpture of Robert Pattinson himself . . . and that this was by popular demand.

The studios team are busy recreating R-Pattz’s trademark sultry expression and messy hair, whilst the figure’s outfit will reflect his rugged style with an open collared shirt and skinny trousers. The figure making process takes four months of intense work to complete at a cost of £150,000.
Pretty pricey monument, eh?

Tussauds goes on to state that they "have been inundated by requests to make him at Madame Tussauds London."
The company reports an estimated availability schedule of April for the product.

Summit replaces editor on 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the uber-successful Twilight series, confirmed this morning that it has replaced Eclipse editor Art Jones with Nancy Richardson, the editor of Catherine Hardwicke’s original Twilight film. The studio is not placing blame on Jones, who previously worked with Eclipse director David Slade on his horror film 30 Days of Night as well as Slade’s Ellen Page-starrer Hard Candy. They do believe, however, that Slade’s material – which they call “very good” – needed a stronger edit. The studio has more confidence in Richardson, who they say understands the emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film.

Richardson recently completed Miley Cyrus’ upcoming romantic drama The Last Song. Eclipse is scheduled to debut on June 30.

'Remember Me' Stars Rave About Robert Pattinson At NYC Premiere

NEW YORK — The mountains of snow piled up on the sidewalks could not keep Robert Pattinson's fans at bay Monday evening (March 1) at the red-carpet premiere for his romantic drama, "Remember Me." The screaming masses lined up early and were gifted with a few moments of rabid OME-dom as RPattz ran down the line greeting all those who waited to catch a glimpse of him.

Inside the makeshift press tent at the Paris Theatre in midtown, the energy was no less wild, the screams of folks waiting to talk with Pattinson no less ear-piercing. But the 23-year-old superstar, tired yet amused as ever by the pandemonium, seemed to take it all in stride. While MTV News was chatting with his co-star Emilie de Ravin, Pattinson leaned over and shouted, "Emilie! Emilie! What's the most fascinating thing about me? Just say it!"

'Twilight' Star Kellan Lutz 'Wouldn't Want To See' 'Breaking Dawn' In 3-D

Kristen Stewart gave it a maybe. Robert Pattinson thinks it might give him a headache. So what does Kellan Lutz think about the idea of releasing "Breaking Dawn" in 3-D, when (or if) it's made? Well, he's not too keen on the idea.

"I heard they were talking about it. I don't really care to see it in 3-D," he told MTV News on the red carpet at Cosmopolitan magazine's 2010 Fun Fearless Males party on Monday night in New York City.

Like Pattinson, Lutz isn't a big fan of movies filmed in multiple dimensions. "3-D kind of hurts my eyes anyways. 'Avatar' was amazing in 3-D and in IMAX, but I don't think I wanna see a little baby half-vampire in 3-D," he said, echoing a similar sentiment made by Stewart. "There's just some scenes I just wouldn't want to see in 3-D."

And with no formal announcement that more movies will be shot from the "Twilight Saga," Lutz is in favor of breaking the book up into two flicks with "New Moon" helmer Chris Weitz back in the director's chair, if the film should get the green light. "I'd love to see Chris Weitz come back," he said late last year. "I just had so much fun shooting with him. I mean, obviously I would just love to do ['Breaking Dawn']. There's no word. ... Hopefully we get that phone call, and if they want to make it into five movies, I just don't want it to end. I love my character so much."

I wonder how Rob feels with having himself made into a wax figure? I mean this totally means he as 'made it' but the wax figure thing really creeps me out!

I love the natural chemistry that Emilie and Rob share, I can't wait to see how it is portrayed on film!!

What do you think about Summit changing the editor for 'Eclipse'?

What do you think about Breaking Dawn possibly being in 3-D? I don't know how I would feel about that. I think for the forest scences when Bella is first discovering her vampire-powers that would be cool, but other than that I cant' imagine any other scenes needing to be 3-D.

What did you think of today's Twilight Saga News?

It seems a bit early in his career to be immortalized in wax, but it's kind of like being frozen in time like Edward Cullen.  There's a bit of poetic irony there.  LOL!

Interesting news on the editor being replaced.  Given my issues with Twilight being choppy and key scenes ending up on the DVD as extended scenes/deleted scenes, I can't help but think that the folks at Summit share the same thoughts.  Of course they aren't going to criticize someone publicly, but there was a lot left to be desired in the first film.

I agree with the actors' comments that Breaking Dawn really doesn't lend itself to being 3-D...the birth of Renesmee would be really disturbing.  I think that they should just leave it - maybe IMAX, but not 3-D.

I am getting so psyched about seeing Remember Me with all of the interviews from the past few days.  Rob and Emilie were cute on The View yesterday, but I felt like she was virtually ignored up until the end when they started talking to her about Lost.  As much as I love me some Rob, I actually felt sorry for her having to sit through that interview. The ladies from the show got seriously off track IMHO.

Ooops...I totally read the story about the editor being replaced on Eclipse backwards.  The fact that they've brought back the one who edited the first film makes me really nervous.  Too many scenes key to plot and character development ended up as deleted and extended scenes on the DVD and they really should have been in the movie so that it would make more sense to people who had not read the books.

Fandango.com has an interesting perspective on why they might have shifted gears with the editor.

Well, the studio isn't blaming Jones at all; what they're saying is that the film needed a "stronger edit" and, according to Summit, Robinson understands the "emotion of the characters and is an ace at balancing action with the other elements of the film." Previously, Jones had worked with Eclipse director David Slade on both Hard Candy and 30 Days of Night, and if you want my opinion I bet both guys were looking to deliver a much darker and riskier film than Summit was prepared to deal with.

After reading this, it really does make sense and comes back to what so many Twilight fans were afraid of when Summit named Slade as the director...a dark, gory movie like 30 Days of Night with too much emphasis on the newborn battle.
